Before founding 2radicall, Chuck Thomas was head of programming and executive producer at FremantleMedia, overseeing participation TV activities worldwide in 4 territories for 9 broadcasters. In this capacity, he co-created the award-winning Quizmania and played an important role in launching the UK department and international roll out of Call TV.
Chuck started his career at Carlton Television (now ITV) where he launched their first children’s channel, hosted the flagship breakfast show and became their youngest ever producer in 1998.
In later years, Chuck set up his own production company and sold his first entertainment format to Channel 5, which he executive produced and hosted. Chuck has specialised in interactive entertainment since 2003, when he helped launch the UK’s first interactive sports channel. He has since held a number of positions at Optimistic Entertainment and 9Live in Germany, where he launched and produced their Call TV format for E4.
Highly experienced in new channel start-ups, transactional television, creative strategy and project management, Chuck relocated to Los Angeles in 2007, where he set up the participation TV department for FremantleMedia North America. 2radicall was also hired by Shine Matrix to assist in the training of the US team on My Games Fever (the first major network commission for Call TV in North America).
With 10 years experience in the international media and entertainment industry, Chuck was named Broadcast Hot Shot by the UK’s top media publication, Broadcast Magazine in 2006, and applauded by the industry for pioneering participation TV formats worldwide.
